There’s nothing quite like soaking in sun rays after a long, cold winter. Nourishing our bodies and minds, the summer months call us to the outdoors, to nature, road trips, quirky roadside attractions—and, of course, the beach! Full of play, adventure, leisure-time, and sugary sweets, the activities and celebrations of summer have also been of keen interest to artists over the years. This display of works from the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum Collection revels in this sacred time of year and its replenishing spirit.
Tan Lines is organized by the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University and curated by Steven L. Bridges, Assistant Curator.
