Guided Gallery Experience 

 

Students engage in dialogue and guided close looking with 2–3 artworks from current exhibitions, building skills in critical thinking and perspective-taking. This experience is led by a gallery educator.  Teach 100- or 200- level courses that emphasize transferable skills relevant to all fields of study and student-led inquiry.  

 

Wednesdays and Thursdays

Self-Guided Gallery  Materials  This self-guided experience moves students throughout the museum with an activity handout designed to encourage observation, critical thinking, and perspective-taking.  Want students to engage independently and flexibly while practicing close-looking and other transferable skills that are relevant to all fields of study. 

  

Wednesday–Sunday, 10am–6pm  Unlimited—this is a self-guided visit

Students visit the museum as a group, with their faculty member who leads the experience.  

 

Want to explore the museum as a class using their own assignment or resources.

Custom Collection Visit 

 

Students are provided private access to selected works from the museum’s collection for faculty-led discussion, directly connecting with course themes.  Want to explore specific artworks deeply, especially those related to course content but not on view in the museum currently. 

 

Weekdays, 9am–4pm  Up to 50 students (larger groups may be split)

Curator Tour 

 

Students gain insight into the curatorial framework and research behind an exhibition on view.  Teach 300- or 400- upper-level or graduate courses that align closely with curatorial practice or the disciplinary content of the exhibition.   Limited/case-by-case
