Steven L. Bridges values the opportunity to contribute to the guiding vision of the museum, and to work in the service of an incredible staff, campus and community stakeholders, and the many audiences who visit from around the world. “The MSU Broad Art Museum is a beacon of artistic excellence in the Mid-Michigan region. It is an inclusive and accessible organization dedicated to the cultivation of wonder and curiosity, exploring the key issues of our day.” He came to the museum from the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2015 and holds two master’s degrees from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago: one in art history, theory, and criticism, and the other in arts administration and policy. He grew up in Syracuse, New York, but is an adopted Midwestern, having lived in the region for the past 17 years.
