FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

All sessions of Kid Studio are designed for ages 6–11! Campers must be within this age range by the first day of camp—no exceptions for younger or older participants.

Get ready for hands-on fun! In our Kid Studio, campers explore various art-making stations with a wide range of materials, encouraging playful experimentation. Through hands-on activities they’ll learn by making and doing, sparking new ideas and discovering their creative potential. Plus, daily visits to our museum galleries immerse campers in art, expanding their perspectives and inspiring endless possibilities.

Our summer art camp staff is made up of knowledgeable art educators who understand the importance of art education and bring their excitement for art to camp every day. The camp curriculum is designed and implemented by art and museum educators with extensive experience teaching youth of all ages. Assisting our art educators are MSU students learning about art and education—they also work with our K-12 and family programs at the museum!

Our summer art camp programs help support free monthly programs for youth and families. While we don’t offer scholarships, we hope to see your family out at one of these events. Learn more about free family programs here: https://broadmuseum.msu.edu/events/

Cancellations before June 1, 2025 are subject to a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after the June 1 cutoff date. If spaces are available, registration can be changed to a different week during the current summer camp season at no additional cost.
