Art Is Changing is organized by the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University and curated by Steven L. Bridges, Associate Curator, in dialogue with the museum’s education team. Support for this exhibition is provided by the Elizabeth Halsted endowment fund.
About the Exhibition
What does it mean to experience, record, or influence change? How is art changing as the world evolves? A group of local creative teens asked these and other questions as part of the MSU Broad High School Studio program, and their inquiries resulted in new tools for viewing, responding, and connecting with works from the museum’s collection featured in this exhibition. Typically, informational labels accompany artworks in a gallery, but this project invited experiments with many different ways to approach art. We invite you to use the tools the students have invented to reframe your own viewpoint and change how you experience art, too.
