2027 Art, Art History, and Design Faculty Triennial

About the Exhibition

The 2027 Art, Art History, and Design Faculty Triennial presents an inclusive survey of recent works produced by internationally recognized faculty in the Art, Art History, and Design (AAHD) Department at Michigan State University. The exhibition celebrates their diverse, experimental, and interdisciplinary practices. Within the climate of a top research university, Michigan State University faculty members are continually engaged in a pursuit of excellence utilizing cutting-edge techniques as contemporary artists and designers. 

In addition to the presentation of current faculty and staff artists, a gallery will also be dedicated to the work of past faculty members whose works now live on in the MSU Broad Art Museum collection. The exhibition thus brings together contemporary and more historical perspectives on the role of artist-educators at the university, highlighting their important contributions both to the educational landscape of the university and to the field of art more broadly. 

The 2027 Art, Art History, and Design Faculty Triennial is organized by the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University and guest curated by Thea Quiray Tagle, independent curator. Support for this exhibition is provided by the John and Susan Berding Family Endowment.
