About the Exhibition
The 2016 Master of Fine Arts Exhibition marks the culmination of a three-year degree program that emphasizes extensive creative exploration under the supervision of a faculty guidance committee. Focused study in an area of concentration, as well as coursework in art history and related fields, helps artists situate their work within the larger discourse that characterizes the practice of art and design today. The creative research of Rachel Allen, Samuel Bennett, Rebekah Blesing, David Johnson, C. Harold Perkins, Bruce Stepan, Adam Taylor, and Joe Wilkinson, stands as evidence of their achievements and promise.
This year the annual Master of Fine Arts Prize was awarded to Joe Wilkinson by guest juror Lynne Warren, Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
