Experience the many offerings of your campus art museum! You’re invited to explore our newest exhibitions while enjoying food, music, special guests, art-making activities, and more. All ages are welcome to this museum-wide party. Registration for this free event is encouraged. Online registration closes at 4pm, but don’t worry—you can still attend our Winter Opening Party! Walk-up visitors are welcome. REGISTER At the Winter Opening Party, we’ll also be collecting non-perishable food items as part of a Spice Drive to support the MSU Student Food Bank (SFB). SFB works to provide a variety of culturally relevant food items, including spices and ingredients that reflect the diverse student body. SFB currently serves over 200 orders per week, representing over 500 people. Interested in donating? We’re collecting the following non-perishable items: Cumin, Turmeric, Coriander, Garam Masala, Cardamom, Fenugreek, Mustard Seeds, Asafoetida, Curry Powder, Chili Powder, Black Pepper, Cloves, Paprika, Saffron, Sumac, Zaatar, Star Anise, Five Spice, Allspice, Smoked Paprika, Dill, Oregano, Bay Leaves, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Thyme, Rosemary, Basil, Sage, Parsley, Cayenne Pepper, Fresh Garlic, Soy Sauce. Collection runs Jan. 24–Feb. 1 during museum open hours. This event is in collaboration with the MSU Broad Art Museum Student Creative Council. This event will celebrate the exhibitions Farmland: Food, Justice, and Sovereignty; The Judith Center Poster Project [Phase 1]: Freedom in the Automation Age; COMPLEX DREAMS; Diasporic Collage: Puerto Rico and the Survival of a People; and Seeing in 360 Degrees: The Zaha Hadid Design Collection.
