READING: What the Constitution Means to Me by Heidi Schreck

Let’s talk! Join us for a staged reading and civic conversation that invites us to imagine how the Constitution will shape the next generation of Americans. Playwright Heidi Schreck saved for her college tuition by winning constitutional debate competitions across the United States. In this humorous and hopeful show, she takes the debate stage and introduces us to four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.

Directed by Tony Caselli. Featuring Dani Cochrane, John Lepard, and MSU student Samantha Dobrowolski.

We’d love to see you at this event!

Scripts in the Galleries is a collaboration with our friends from the Williamston Theatre, in conversation with We Are This Land: Meditations on the Great American Experiment. On view Aug. 22, 2026–Mar. 14, 2027, We Are This Land brings together artists who invite us to reflect on our history, consider our present, and imagine brighter futures.
