Broad Underground X MSU Latinx Film Festival: Performance and Video Art with LA 18

How can museums support art practices involving performance and video? This Broad Underground screening is part of the MSU Latinx Film Festival (LxFF), the largest Latinx/Latino/Latin American film festival in the state of Michigan.

Guest filmmakers Rhett Garcia and Pedro Ivan Bonilla will speak about LA 18, the audiovisual unit of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico. They will present the newly produced documentary Rito de paso (2025), which follows the work of performance artist Helen Ceballos, as well as video artworks that were produced by LA 18 in collaboration with artists.

We’d love to see you at this event!
