Canceled: Broad Underground: Alia Farid

The Broad Underground: Alia Farid event on Sep. 30 has been canceled. Artist Alia Farid has made the decision not to attend her talk and screening of her film At the Time of the Ebb (2019). While we were looking forward to this visit, you can view the Diasporic Collage exhibition at the MSU Broad Art Museum through Feb. 2, 2025.

The Broad Underground series is an ongoing collaboration between the MSU Broad Art Museum and the MSU Film Studies Program. We hope to see you at other Broad Underground events this semester!

Artist and filmmaker Alia Farid’s work explores the connections between the Caribbean and the Middle East. For this iteration of Broad Underground, we’ll screen and discuss Farid’s film At the Time of the Ebb (2019).

Broad Underground is an ongoing collaboration between the MSU Broad Art Museum and the MSU Film Studies Program. This series presents experimental film, video, and new media screenings and encourages conversation around the topics featured.
