ARTIST TALK: To Those Who Nourish
How does the agricultural industry affect our waterways? Learn about artist duo Cooking Sections, whose work is on view in Farmland now, and their three-year project in collaboration with Ohio-based farmers that are removing chemical fertilizer from their farming methods. The artists and farmers will share how art and alternative farming practices can help us protect the lands and waters that nourish us. Registration for this free event is encouraged.
On view from Jan. 18–Jul. 27, 2025, Farmland: Food, Justice, and Sovereignty explores the crucial questions of food knowledge, security, and justice against the background of Michigan State University’s 170-year history in agricultural tradition.
