Canceled: Artist Talk: Samia Halaby

The MSU Broad Art Museum's Artist Talk: Samia Halaby event on Oct. 16 has been canceled. Artist Samia Halaby has informed us that she is no longer able to attend. While we were looking forward to this visit, we hope you'll check out these other opportunities to engage with Halaby's work:

+ Take part in the Curator Tour on Oct. 20

+ Download the brochure to learn more about the exhibition

+ Read the review in Art in America

+ If you haven’t already, there’s still time to visit the exhibition, on view through Dec. 15, 2024.

We hope to see you soon at the MSU Broad Art Museum! For more events, visit our events page.

Did you know Samia Halaby’s journey to become a painter began right here at MSU? Join us to learn more about Halaby’s nearly seven decades of painting and celebrate the return of a distinguished MSU alumna this homecoming week!

This event is co-sponsored by the Arab American National Museum; the MSU Department of Art, Art History, and Design; the Muslim Studies Program; Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities, International Studies and Programs; and the Center for Gender in a Global Context.

Samia Halaby: Eye Witness follows Halaby’s creative journey to experiment with the ways painting conveys her experiences and reflects how she sees the world around her. On view June 29–December 15, 2024.
