Art in the Aftermath: Opening Program + Film Screening (Premiere)

Gather in community as we recognize the power of art and artists in bringing awareness to the epidemic of gun violence. Hear from guest curators Scott Boehm and Maya Manuel as they discuss the exhibition Art in the Aftermath: Healing Gun Violence through Artivism, in addition to Marco Díaz Muñoz, who will speak about the process of creating his oil painting for the exhibition. At 7pm, the premiere screening of an MSU student film, What’s Left Behind (dir. Cassidy Howard, 2024, 22 min.) will take place, followed by a short Q&A with the director. Registration for this free event helps us plan in advance.
