Friday, Nov. 02, 2018    7pm

A professor of art at Michigan State University for more than two decades (1942–68), Charles Pollock left an indelible mark on the university, the art department, and the MSU Broad collection. This behind-the-scenes talk and tour traces Pollock’s influence, specifically through the notable artists he brought to campus and the significant works of art acquired by the museum thanks to his tenure. Join Associate Curator Steven L. Bridges, Director of Education Michelle Word, and Registrar Rachel Vargas as they shed light on how this incredible collection has grown and evolved over the years.

Charles Pollock: Modernism in the Making is on view in the Collection Gallery through Dec. 30, 2018.
