Mixed Media Workshop: Shifting Landscapes with Britta Urness

Saturday, Mar. 20, 2021    1–4pm

Take a look around you… what do you consider to be your personal landscape? Have you ever mapped out your favorite walk around the neighborhood? Do the change of seasons alter how you see your own backyard? Influenced by the MSU Broad exhibition InterStates of Mind, this workshop will challenge you to look at, document, and interpret landscapes that shift over time. We’ll use a variety of drawing, collage, and printmaking methods on paper, resulting in a small suite of mixed media work.

This two-session workshop, led by MSU Broad Studio Educator Britta Urness, will include concept brainstorming exercises, guided technique instruction with lively discussion, and critique.

Registration for this online event is required. Cost of registration ($35) covers instruction only; a suggested supply list will be provided prior to the workshop. The registration deadline is March 15, 2021. Register here.

This online event will take place on Zoom.
