Embroidery Workshop: The Lost Sunflower
Do you miss your sewing circle? Join the MSU Broad Art Lab and Solstice Handmade for an online embroidery workshop. Stitch a pattern of “The Lost Sunflower” helianthus praetermissus, an extinct species of sunflower native to New Mexico, unseen since 1851. This workshop is fit for both beginners and sewing pros alike. Zoom instruction will walk you through each step, and culminate with sharing your progress with the group. This workshop is led by Michigan-based artist and teacher Dayna Walton.
Registration for this online event is required. Cost of registration ($55) covers instruction and all materials, including a printed sampler designed by the instructor. The registration deadline is August 31, 2020 to ensure that all participants receive their supplies by mail prior to the event. Register here.
This online event will take place on Zoom.
