"An exhibit at Michigan State University’s Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum that opens Sunday seeks to call attention to the struggles with debt facing many college graduates.

“Day After Debt: A Call for Student Loan Relief” is an art project started by Ahemt Öğüt, a Kurdish artist. The exhibition opens on Sunday and runs through April 12.

Öğüt worked with multiple other artists to produce sculptures that will be scattered throughout the museum. One of the pieces Öğüt produced is called Anti-Debt Monolith and, when a patron puts a coin into the machine, plays an audio recording speaking about the growth of student debt in the last 10 years."
