Deputy Director of Administration and Operations
Bill joined the Broad MSU in the fall of 2014 to direct operational aspects, human resources, and financial management for the unit. His background includes various administrative roles in security, operations management, facility use, special event coordination, accounting, and finance. He has been on campus since 2001, starting with the MSU Museum, where he coordinated museum special events and managed the facilities. He was essential in construction and re-accreditation issues, and helped the museum launch and produce the annual Great Lakes Folk Festival. In 2008 Bill joined MSU Residential and Hospitality Services as a budget officer and projects manager. As an Assistant Director for University Housing and Campus Living Services he coordinated the business practices for one of the largest university residence hall systems in the country. Bill helped usher in the new era for campus residents by serving on the Design and Implementation teams for the new Residence Education and Housing Services department and focused on centralizing business processes.
Prior to joining Michigan State University, Bill was the Operations Manager for Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority and oversaw the Lansing (convention) Center, and managed other large public and private facilities. Bill has served on the Lansing City Council, Ingham County Parks Commission, and Potter Park Zoo Board. He coaches youth basketball and volunteers in the community. Bill completed his undergraduate education in the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, and earned his Graduate Degree from the MSU College of Education.
