April Clobes, Vice Chair
April Clobes began her career at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union when she joined the credit union as a Marketing Specialist in October of 1996. In 2001, she headed up the newly-formed ecommerce department, which grew to separate ecommerce and eservices departments encompassing a variety of internal and external electronic platforms. As the departments and Clobes’s responsibilities grew, she was promoted from manager to department assistant vice president to department vice president. Clobes took on the additional role of Vice President of Marketing in 2009 and assumed responsibility for directing all of MSUFCU’s electronic- and print-based marketing. She was named Executive Vice President in 2010 and was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2011.
Clobes holds a BA in Marketing from Michigan State University (MSU), an MA in Advertising and Public Relations from MSU, and an MBA from Western Michigan University. She serves on a variety of councils, committees, and boards of directors for community organizations including Capital Region Community Foundation, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Wharton Center Advisory Board, MSU College of Music National Leadership Council, College of Communication Arts and Sciences Alumni Board, MSU Alumni Association National Board, and the McLaren Greater Lansing Foundation Board.
